Who plans the 4th on Broadway Festival?

Broadway Festivals is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that plans and hosts all of the Fourth on Broadway Celebrations

The 4th on Broadway Festival will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024.


Parking

Do I have to pay for parking while attending 4th on Broadway events?

July 4th

  • Free parking will be offered off Canyon Lake Drive, in between Broadway and 19th Street, right across from the American Wind Power Museum.

  • Paid parking will be located at the South Plains Fairgrounds ($5 per car) and right off of Broadway, directly across from Mackenzie Park ($10 per car). A free shuttle service will be provided.


Parade

What is the parade route for the 2024 4th on Broadway Parade?

The Parade will begin at Ave J and Broadway, travel down Broadway and end at MLK Jr Blvd and Broadway.

What time does the 4th on Broadway Parade start?

The parade officially begins at 9:45 AM, but we encourage the community to arrive early to park and secure a good viewing spot, within the roped off boundaries set for your safety.

How do I  become an entry in the 4th on Broadway parade?

The sign-up form for parade entries can be found here; Application deadlines are May 3, 2024 for early entries & June 14, 2024 for all final entries.

Where is the 4th on Broadway Festival held?

Events for 4th on Broadway are held at Mackenzie Park.

What kinds of food and beverages can be purchased at 4th on Broadway?

We will have over 30 food and craft vendor selling all sorts of yummy food drinks and more! 

Will cash and cards be accepted at the 4th on Broadway Festival?

Some vendors may accept cards, however some may not, so bringing cash is highly encouraged. There will NOT be ATMs in Mackenzie Park.

What items can I bring to the 4th on Broadway Festival?

We encourage the community to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, pop up tents, and any other items that will keep festival goers comfortable throughout the day.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs that are up to date on all of their shots and leashed are welcomed to our events held on July 4th in Mackenzie Park. 

Will there be on-site medical service?

Emergency medical staff will be available on site. If you need any assistance, go to the EMS location on the map, look for a police officer, or 4th on Broadway Festival staff member.

If I lose something, where can I find it?

Items lost on the day of the event will be held at the Volunteer Center, located at the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater. Items lost and found after the event can be recovered by emailing admin@broadwayfestivals.com.

Will there be security at the event?

We make every effort to create a safe and secure environment on the festival grounds. On-site security will be provided by the Lubbock Police Department.


Evening Concert & Fireworks

What time does the Evening Concert & Fireworks show start?

The evening concert begins at 7:00 pm, but we encourage the community to arrive early to get a good viewing spot of the stage. The fireworks begin at dusk, approximately 10:00 pm. 

What route do the shuttles take after the Evening Concert & Fireworks?

The shuttles will stop during the Fireworks show. After the Fireworks show, shuttles will line up along Broadway to take festival goers to the parking lots.

What items can I bring to the 4th on Broadway Evening Concert & Fireworks?

We encourage the community to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and any other items that will keep festival goers comfortable throughout the show.
